The Friends of the Thomas Foster Memorial invite you to join us at the magnificent Thomas Foster Memorial, the most unique and beautiful building in all of North America. When Thomas Foster built his dream he envisioned a building full of people, music and fellowship. And the Friends of the Thomas Foster Memorial are fulfilling Thomas’ dream and holding concerts every Friday night starting in May and ending in September with a donation for admission. Each concert is 7:30- 8-30 P.M. Thomas wanted everyone to share in his dream and be able to participate and experience the beauty that life can offer, and the committee has fulfilled this by accepting a donation at the door as admission to our concerts. This allows all residents no matter what their financial status is to enjoy our beautiful concerts with local, professional and guest entertainers. We also have a special reading with music to celebrate Halloween as well as a tour of the crypts in the basement decorated to mark the occasion on October 26 7:30 P.M. Come out if you dare. And with our Ladies of the Foster performing Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol” you are witnessing history being made right in front of your eyes. The all female cast does a superb job every year of keeping the audience entertained with their incredible performance on the last Sunday in November at 2:00 p.m. So please come out and join with us to be entertained by the many different performances at the Thomas Foster Memorial where the acoustics are the science of sound and the beauty of the building will take your breath away.Come and see the Diamond of Durham.
